Accursed Lands can be a challenging game to learn how to enjoy. However, there are mentors who are eager to help you. Seeking a mentor, especially if you feel frustrated, lost, or confused, is perhaps the best way to find help. You can either find the arch in your starting city or use the massist command to go to the mentor academy. If a mentor is online and available, they will help you with some of the basics. We strongly suggest you first read all the help files, especially help travel, wilderness, damage levels, levels, food, drink, creators, and reality. Use helptree and apropos to find help on specific topics.
When you summon a mentor to help you, stay in the academy a reasonable amount of time to allow the mentor time to finish what they are doing and come to the academy to help you. The academy is not a place to go just to hang out (unless you're a mentor), to heal, or escape from someone. Abuse will have consequences. Mentors want to help you. Please don't think a question you have is too inconsequential to bother a mentor with. As long as you're sure you've checked out the help system and not found an answer, please don't hesitate to contact a mentor.
