SYNTAX:
To get an item out of something:
get [item] from [container]
To get an item that is on the ground:
get [item]
To get a part of something on the ground:
get <ordinal number> <measurement> of [item]
Example: get 1 egg of meat
Note: If there are several items of the same type on the ground, you can specify which item to get.
get <ordinal number> [item]
get third item from container
Note: "hold" is equivalent to "get" in most circumstances. Try, "hold <item> in right hand", for instance.
Some areas have gettables - items that are not listed in the room description, but are free for the taking - such as sticks in a forest or sand in a desert. In a forest, for instance, you can use the command, "get stick" to pick up a stick. If a stick already exists in the room, "get stick from here" will get another stick.
