forage
The wilderness is full of many species of plants some of which are useful, and others which are not. Foraging through the vegetation is a good way to become familiar with the various plants that grow in this world. The forage command allows you to rummage through the vegetation in a particular spot and try to find something of interest. It is not always easy to find things since foraging is a general search for nothing in particular.
As you continue to forage through the vegetation, your knowledge of specific plants and your ability to find them again will slowly increase. You can also gather a specific plant to help target your search to the plant of interest.
