- Be respectful of others.
- Do not ask for creators on channels, specific or in general (either post a note on the appropriate board [note bug, note idea, etc], send in an assist, or write a mudmail to the specific creator).
- Do not use profanity on channels. Modifying offensive words in an attempt to get around the built-in censor is a violation of these rules (see help swearing'
- Do not engage in offensive or adult-themed discussions.
- No spamming. Spamming is defined as sending an excessive amount of text to the channel at once or within a short amount of time. For example, saying the same thing, or similar things, repeatedly.
- No veiled IC info or profanity on channels. Creators are not stupid.
Newbie
To be used for OOC questions (not IC information or game mechanics). The intended use is to allow newbies to ask questions so that they can get acclimatized to the game environment. It is not meant to be a place where experienced players can ask about borderline IC or mechanics-related questions, to complain about something that just happened in the game that might be a bug, or to discuss ideas (note bug or note idea instead). If a discussion progresses from a simple question and answer session into a conversation, take it to chat. Be polite and respectful of the people who ask questions or answer questions. Questioners, please try to read all available help files before asking your question. If you are new and having problems getting around the IC world, you might try a mentor. If, in answer to your question, you are told to read a help file, do not be offended. Often the help files can contain a better explanation of the answer you are looking for than what you will get from other players on the channel. People have put time and effort into writing them because of common questions, and that is where you are likely to find what you want to know. Answerers, please be patient with newbies. If someone asks an in character question, one person should suggest that they read help IC (don't flood them with shouts of IC! IC!, even in fun). Terrinor can be frustrating, especially at first. Do not make snide remarks or yell at people, but answer appropriate questions that you know the answer to in a clear, concise manner.
Chat
This is the channel for OOC discussion. It can be boisterous, funny, annoying, interesting, entertaining, and more. If you wish to socialize with other players, discuss inane or interesting questions or otherwise natter on, this is the place. Please be respectful of others. Poking fun at others is not encouraged, but is not disallowed, as long as you are able to realize when someone is truly bothered by your actions. In other words, if someone asks you to stop, stop! Creators reserve the right to silence without warning for channel behavior they feel is against the rules of the mud. If a creator feels the need to warn you it is in your best interest to listen to them as they are being nice about it.
