Syntax:

apply

apply [for] <job>

By applying for a job in one of the game's cities, a character can earn money and even gain skill while offline, freeing up play sessions for whatever their player might desire. To acquire a job, one can use the apply command in a city room to see what potential positions are available there. To select one, use apply [for] <job name>; this will either employ that character or inform them if they're short on requirements (which may be a combination of skills, stats, or equipment).

Good places to look for jobs include taverns, docks, city gates, and shops.
